ABOUT

Elisabeth De Loore graduated as a classical pianist at the Royal Antwerp Conservatoire with Eliane Rodriguez in 2010.
Since 2013 she has been active mainly as a theatre musician at NTGent (Parsifal), TGVagevuur (Vadermoord, Cel, Rosa, Testerep), TGMaastricht (Othello, Eyes wide shut, Brieven uit Genua, King Lear, Emma, Noem het maar liefde, The Great Gatsby, Vrijdag, Een Meeuw) and Aardvork (Franzerl, N9, Henry, De Rus&Comen). In a number of these theatre productions she also acted in speaking roles (Eyes wide shut, King Lear, Noem het maar liefde, The Great Gatsby, Rosa, Testerep).
As a musician she loves to expand her horizons experimenting with a wide range of instruments. She played the synths and the organ in ‘Parsifal’ (NTG), drums in ‘Cel’ (TGVagevuur), and the vibraphone in ‘King Lear’ (TGMaastricht).
Elisabeth likes to experiment with the barriers of sound and asymmetric rhythms. Besides performing music, she also composes. Over the years, she has created a very diverse portfolio ranging from children’s lullabies influenced by ambient natural sounds, to a revision of Henry Purcell’s classical masterpieces into electronic sound scapes.
